K9 PREGNANCY

WE HOPE TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH YOUR GIRLS PREGNANCY, MAKING SURE SHE HAS THE BEST CARE POSSIBLE.

She might have discharge, this is normal. As long as it’s not green or smells bad.

she might go off her food, again normal. She will eat when ready, contact your vet if any concerns.

We suggest feeding puppy food during pregnancy to give her extra goodness.

Some breeders like to give folic acid. Please speak to your vet about this.

If she needs worm and flea treatment durning her pregnancy please speak to your vet.

Her nipples will get bigger and pinker. Please look out for inverted nipples as they can become sore and blocked. If angry, hot etc please contact your vet.

She will usually have some kind of sickness, morning, evening etc. Usually white or yellow froth. This is normal. However if she is not keeping food down please contact your vet.

She might become more loving, she may also not tolerate other animals.

Its very important to keep her happy as some dogs absorb pups if feeling threatened by another dominant dog.

Bleeding after mating for days even weeks is not so normal but can happen. If it smells please contact your vet.

Her milk usually comes in one week before birth but some dogs it happens on the day.

During this time I suggest you research everything as you must be prepared to keep your girl safe.
